Where is the download app download? Apps, or applications, are a type of program that you download to your smartphone, tablet, or computer. There are thousands of free apps available for many different things – including keeping in touch with friends and family, reading the news, playing games and puzzles, and banking or shopping online.
Your Android device is getting ready.
First, you’ll need to know how to change some settings on your Android phone or other device so that it doesn’t block attempts to get an app from an unrecognized source.
- On your Android device, swipe down and select the cog icon to access Settings.
- Scroll down to find Biometrics and Security, and select it.
- Select Install unknown apps.
- Select the app you will use to install the files and select it. This could be a browser, an installer app you recently downloaded (more on that below), or a similar option.
- Select Allow from this source.
If you download APKMirror from the Google Play Store or another third-party app store, you probably don’t need to worry about these settings. But once you search those stores for apps, revisit those settings and make sure the right permissions are enabled. If you download from a website, such as the web version of APKMirror, allow your browser as well.
Open your downloaded app file
After downloading the file, you will need a way to open it to install it on your device. There are a few choices, and they all lead to the same place. Check the following steps to open your downloaded app:
Swipe down from the top of your screen and tap on Download Full Entry.
- Tap the Download Complete notification when the file download is complete. Some web browsers display the download message below, but it’s the same process no matter where it appears.
- If prompted, open the file with APKMirror Installer to install the app.
- Tap Allow or Allow from this source to give APKMirror the appropriate storage permissions.
- Select Install to continue the process. Wait for the app to install successfully. Sometimes, the installation suffers from compatibility issues or other issues, in which case APKMirror and many other apps give you a warning. You can try a different version of the app to see if you can fix the problem.
- Once the installation is complete, you will get an option to open the app. Open the app and test some features to make sure everything works properly and doesn’t crash immediately when you use it.
